Family First Community Recovery

The coronavirus outbreak has had unprecedented, widespread impacts on households across Wake County. The most severe economic, educational and health impacts have been concentrated among disenfranchised groups who are now facing exacerbated challenges and barriers. Family First Community Recovery Project will support Wake County’s historically marginalized communities that have been disproportionately impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic resulting in loss of jobs, housing instability, gaps in academic achievement, heightened familial stress creating socio-emotional challenges, and pre-existing health conditions that presented greater risk to Covid-19 infections and deaths. Services will be provided in the priority areas of census tracts with 50% of households with an average estimated incomes below $50,000.
